Back to School with HelpNow by Brainfuse

It’s back to school season! That means we’re back to the homework grind.

Canton Public Library has numerous resources to help students power through assignments and test prep, including HelpNow by Brainfuse. Here are some of the features on HelpNow that you can access using your library card. 

Live Tutoring

During the school year, Brainfuse offers live tutoring every day from 2:00-11:00 PM. This is for students in kindergarten through college, for any subject from reading and math for the littles, to calculus and history for older students. All Brainfuse tutors have a four-year degree and teaching experience, and pass both background and reference checks, so you know that you are getting quality instruction.

Writing Lab

If you need help with an essay or other writing assignment, you can get assistance using the Writing Lab feature. Upload your document and within one full business day a Brainfuse tutor will review and return it to you with in-text comments.

SkillSurfer

Here you will find practice tests, videos, and other lessons on specific subjects 24 hours a day, throughout the year. SkillSurfer resources are geared towards all ages, so you will find everything from reading comprehension quizzes to AP practice tests.

Send a Question

Are you stuck on one specific question? Is there a particularly tricky math problem you can’t crack? Submit your question and receive a full written answer within one business day.

Language Lab

Here you will find live tutors dedicated to helping you learn French and Spanish. With the Vocabulary Builder feature, students can practice with flashcards, quizzes and even a few games.

Live Chess Tutoring

If you prefer your extracurriculars to be a bit more cerebral, Brainfuse’s chess tutors can help you to take your game to the next level. There are lessons on tactics and strategy as well as puzzles that you can access any time with the SkillSurfer feature.

Live FAFSA Help

Every parent with kids of a certain age will know how much of a headache the FAFSA application can be. Luckily, Brainfuse has experts on hand to walk you through the process and answer any questions that might arise. The college application experience can be stressful, but HelpNow is here to make it as painless as possible.

You can access all of these resources and more online with your library card. Brainfuse offers a mobile app as well, so you can take your studying on the go. Bring your device to the library and our librarians can help you get set up with HelpNow by Brainfuse.
