Hello, and summer greetings to you!
I am not sure about you, but I have been enjoying a very nice summer here at the library. I am looking forward to a trip to the beach to see my friends. Since I have to wait longer, and because the beach is a bit too far for a fuzzy bear to walk to all alone, I decided to make this snazzy ocean craft to hold me over. I had so much fun making this that I wanted to share it with you, too!
Bear hugs,
Thorndyke
Supplies
- Gallon-sized clear plastic bag
- Markers
- Black paper
- White paper for flashlight
- Scissors
Instructions
- First, draw an ocean scene on one side of your bag.
- Put the black paper in the bag. Notice that it is harder to see what you drew—that’s the point!
- Now you will make your flashlight. Here’s a template you can use or you can design your own. Color in your flashlight, and be sure to leave the beam white.
- Cut out the flashlight and put it between your design and the black paper in the bag.
What do you see? Try making a space or jungle scene next time!
