If you haven't yet visited the Secondhand Prose Bookstore, take a few minutes the next time you drop by to check out one of the library's best-kept secrets.
Secondhand Prose is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers, the Friends of the Canton Public Library, who raise funds to meet specific library needs and support the library and patrons in other ways.
At the bookstore, and on the red cart in the library lobby, the Friends sell gently-used books, movies, music CDs, video games, and jigsaw puzzles—many for $1 or less. For even better bargains, bag sales take place the last full week of every month. You'll find items for all ages, including baby board books, kids chapter books, young adult novels, biographies, classics, self-help titles, thrillers and much more.
Not currently in shopping mode? If you have books, DVDs, CDs, or other media to donate, these materials are accepted on a shelf at the rear of the library, near the loading dock.
