Please pardon our dust as we add five new study rooms and additional amenities to the east wall of the library.
Construction will begin on May 1, 2024. The temporary wooden study carrels currently on the east wall will be removed several days in advance.
All of the new rooms feature an enclosed ceiling (with lights) and three solid walls to help minimize sound traveling in and out of the room, one glass wall (facing the shelves) with a sliding door to allow light in and provide visibility, and, of course, power/USB outlets.
The four new 4-person rooms will have one wall that is floor to ceiling magnetic white board, one study table and four chairs.
The new 2-person room closest to existing study rooms 1-6 will feature one wall that is floor to ceiling magnetic tac fabric, a fixed desk-height counter and two chairs.
Between the 2-person room and the study rooms, next to the window, there will also be a new café-height counter with three stools and access to power/USB outlets.
On the other end, closest to the Teen Space, we are adding a pergola-style open space featuring one wall that is floor to ceiling magnetic white board, two comfy chairs, laptop table(s), and a café-height double counter with six stools and access to power/USB outlets.
All rooms are first come, first served, no reservations required.
We hope you enjoy the new rooms!
