Starting July 5, 2023, Canton Public Library(CPL) cardholders can borrow items from participating consortiums across Michigan.
Get started on the Libby app by tapping Menu at the bottom of the screen, then tap Add Library. Search for the following participating consortiums, then sign in with your Canton Public Library barcode (each participating consortium needs to be added separately).
- Download Destination
- Genesee District Library
- Great Lakes Digital Libraries
- Lakeland Digital Library
- Mideastern Michigan Library Consortium
- Midwest Collaborative for Library Services
- St. Clair County Library System
- Suburban Library Cooperative
- Traverse Area District Library
- Up North Digital Collection.
- White Pine Library Cooperative
- Woodlands Downloadable Library.
Once you have added these partner libraries, Libby keeps you automatically signed in to them, just as it does for your Canton Public Library card. When searching for titles, you will see all that is available to you, from our home consortium, Metro Net. When you search in Metro Net for an item that CPL owns, you will see whatever copy you can get fastest, from Canton or any participating library. (If CPL doesn't own the title, you must search each consortium directly to see if they have it.)
On the MetroNet OverDrive website, a link to Partner Libraries will be in the upper right-hand corner. Use the drop-down menu to select each consortium and sign in with your Canton Public Library card.
