If you and your child want to try something different at home, the library offers Children's Kits for checkout. These kits can help you make the most of a rainy day with items and activities that make learning fun. There are a variety of kits available, including Play to Learn, STEAM and Social-emotional Learning (EQ).
These hands-on activity kits are perfect to help kids develop a variety of important skills—all while having fun in the process. EQ kits develop skills for managing emotions and empathizing with others. Play to Learn kits have educational toys for fun, at-home education. STEAM kits develop science, technology, engineering, art and math skills. A full list of STEAM, Play to Learn and EQ kits can be found by searching the catalog by author for “children’s kit.”
