Hello there pals,
As I sit and daydream about all of the spring break vacations I have enjoyed, it has me thinking about all the greatest pairs I have ever seen. Some things were just meant to go together. I mean, could you even imagine a movie without popcorn, or a cake with no ice cream? The gall! I wonder what my friends at the library would think. I mean, everyone knows the most obvious great pairs:
peanut butter & jelly
pajamas & streaming videos
cookies & milk
Frog & Toad
chips & salsa
a warm sunny spot & a great book
I could do this all day. Do you know what my absolute favorite thing to pair up is? Great books that go together.
So, I have a challenge for you folks out there. Better yet, let's make a deal! I would love to see some of the things that you think go together (especially books).
Wait. You aren't willing to just share right away, are you? Okay, I have got it— I will show you mine, if you show me yours. Do we have a deal? I will go first, only if you promise to show me your book pairs the next time you come in the library.
Oh, you want to take a picture with the most famous library bear in Canton? Sigh, it will be pretty rough to discern true fans from paw-parazzi just trying to catch a candid shot. Well, I suppose I could oblige if you take the picture with me at the library and then scan the neato QR code I am holding to show all your friends online that you actually posed with the legendary Thorndyke T. Bear.
Don't even try to tell me you cannot make it into the library because of awesome spring break plans. NO EXCUSES! Show me your book pairings on our social media pages (scroll to the very bottom of our website, you can do it!). Make sure to use the hashtag #CPLshowmeyourbooks so that the nice library folks will share the pictures with me.
Ah, just thinking about seeing all your smiling faces makes me feel even fuzzier inside (that's hard to do to a bear). A deal is a deal though, so here are my favorite book pairs, as promised.
