Hey Kids,
My favorite time of year is here. It’s almost Halloween, which means costumes, trick-or-treating, and parties. Halloween is also one of the last holidays before my long winter nap.
October can be a fun but busy month at home and school. There’s reading ghost stories, pumpkin picking, visiting a haunted house, baking Halloween cookies, and decorating your house. If you haven’t decided on a Halloween costume yet, no worries. I have an easy do-it-yourself project that the whole family can make together. It’s a felt flower headband. Have you seen me wearing it at the library? It’s very stylish and perfect for a bear like me.
Creativebug has many ways to bring families to the crafting table to create something fun together. Grab some felt, some ribbon, and a glue gun. It’s time to make a felt flower headband. For your trick-or-treat “bag,” use a plastic watering can just for fun.
Have a happy Halloween!
Bear hugs,
Thorndyke
