The holidays are fast approaching and there's plenty of festive fun to be found in Canton and beyond. We've curated a list of craft fairs, performances and special events to help you pack your 2024 calendar with holiday cheer.
Craft Shows
On Saturday, November 2 is the Dearborn Holiday Boutique at Divine Child Elementary School from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM for a day filled with holiday spirit, shopping and fun!
Looking to browse a craft show for unique holiday décor or gifts for your loved ones? Canton hosts its Annual Holiday Artisan Market on Saturday, November 9 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Summit on the Park. For more details, visit the Canton Farmers Market website.
Also on Saturday, November 9, the Saline November Craft Show is taking place at Saline Middle School. This is a juried craft show with over 250 craft booths. Admission is $5 per person and the show runs from 8:00 AM-3:30 PM.
Art fairs and craft fairs really start ramping up the weekend before Thanksgiving. First up is the Royal Oak Market Art Fair from November 21-22 indoors at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. It runs from 11:00 AM-9:00 PM each day and will feature over 60 jury-selected artists as well as live entertainment and food vendors.
Plymouth-Canton Music Boosters will host their own Holiday Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday, November 23, at Plymouth High School. Admission costs $5 per person and proceeds will go to support Plymouth-Canton Educational Park (P-CEP) band programs.
Look for over 100 crafters at the Lutheran High Westland Winter Wonderland Craft Show on December 6 and 7 and proceeds go to the school’s extracurricular programs.
There’s a lot to do during the Christmas in Plymouth celebration which will be held December 12-14 including a Mistletoe Market with over 55 artisans. The market will be held at 736 Penniman, next to the Penn Theater.
For your last-minute holiday shopping needs, don’t miss Handcrafters Tinsel & Treasures on December 13-15 at the Embassy Suites in Livonia. The $4 admission fee covers all three days to this show full of high-quality handmade holiday decor and gifts for everyone on your list.
The Village Theater
Be sure to visit the Village Theatre’s website for ticket pricing and box office information for these family-friendly events.
On Friday, December 13, get into the spooky Christmas spirit with the Tim Burton classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. There will be two showings: 6:00 PM and 9:30 PM.
On Monday, December 23 at 7:00 PM, award-winning magician Aaron Radatz will dazzle audiences with his 2024 Holiday Magic Show.

Winter Wonderland Walk – Visit Heritage Park on December 5 between 5:00-8:00 PM to kick off the holiday season with a lighted trip around the pond, featuring tons of winter fun and entertainment. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Holidays in Heritage – Enjoy a seasonal lighted walk around the pond in Heritage Park with festive decorations. The event run every day from 5:00-9:00 PM, December 6 through December 31.
Christmas in the Village – From 3:00-8:00 PM on Sunday December 7, the Village Arts Factory will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring food trucks, art and gifts for sale from local artisans, live music, an animal petting zoo and photos with Santa Claus.

Head over to Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth on Friday, November 29, from 5:15-7:30 PM for Santa's Arrival, featuring magician Joel Tacey. Click here to view the parade route map.
You can also catch the Walk of Trees from November 29, 2024 to January 1, 2025 in Kellogg Park, featuring trees along the park's walkways that are decorated by local businesses and organizations.
Visit the Westland City Hall Thursday, December 4 at 5:30 PM for the City of Westland Annual Tree Lighting Event. Enjoy cookies, hot cocoa and special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
