Volunteer Opportunities in Canton

Are you a student looking to fulfill a community service requirement? Are you interested in making friends and learning new skills while helping your neighbors?

Canton Township's Leisure Services Volunteer Coordinator can help you find rewarding opportunities to share your time and talent with local organizations to create a better community.

Canton Leisure Services (CLS) offers many opportunities to volunteer either on an ongoing basis or for special events in need of one-time volunteer help. To volunteer for a CLS position, complete and submit a volunteer application for youth or for adults.

Depending on the position, CLS volunteers may be requested or required to attend at least one volunteer training session per year. Please note that some volunteer positions (including Meals on Wheels and Pheasant Run Golf Club) are for ages 18 and up.

The Canton Volunteer Coordinator website also offers a comprehensive list and contact information for organizations that serve the Canton community, including the Canton Historical Museum, Plymouth Symphony, Open Door Food Ministry, American Red Cross and Michigan Humane Society, to name a few. These organizations must be contacted directly about available volunteer opportunities.
